Q: Why does the peeling affect differ from person to person?

A: Depends on skin moisture content and skin sensitivity, some clients peel a lot, some only a little, some do not see any peeling. Severity of peeling does not mean better results. The result of the algae peel will still be the same on skin texture, acne and superficial pigmentation. Always remember that each individuals skin and skin condition is different and must be treated as such.

Q: Who is the treatment not recommended for?
A: Algae peel is not recommended for:

• sensitive skin
• any medical condition, including medical skin conditions
• on any acne medication
• on any chronic medication (Ask your Professional to advice accordingly)
• prone to pigmentation (pigmentation sensitive skin)
• prone to cold sores

Q: Can it be combined with any other treatments?

A: It is not recommended to combine any other treatments or use any other serums or aftercare that has not been recommended by your professional.

Q: What is the risk and/or possible side effects?

A: Algae peel causes an inflammation response, this means sensitive, prone to pigmentation and 4 – 6 Fits Patrick clients have the risk of getting hyperpigmentation after the treatment. Ask your professional to advice accordingly. There are pre-treatment topical creams and serums that can lower this risk as well as, post treatment topical creams and serums that can even out skin tone again if needed.

Q: How many sessions are needed?
A:This is client dependent (depending on skin condition) average 4 – 6 Treatments repeated every 4 weeks.

Q: Which clients are suitable for the algae treatment?

A: Clients that have:

• Acne, mild break outs and black heads.
• Superficial pigmentation, dark marks from acne, age spot etc.
• Want to improve skin texture.
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Acne scaring

Q: What can be expected after the treatment?

A: Warm burning sensation for the first few hours after the treatment, if area is touched in the first 24 hrs – 48hrs it feels like there are tiny microscopic needles in the skin, this will dissolve in the first 48hrs after treatment do not attempt to remove them as this must dissolve to get the full effect of the treatment. Avoid frequent touching of treated area. Tight, mild itching and dry skin may also be expected in the first 7 -10 days after treatment. If skin does peel on average, it will start on day 2 / 3 lasting up to a week after the treatment.

Q: Is there a possibility of an allergic reaction?

A: Patch test will be required.
